At an altitude of 1,800 meters in the resort of Valberg, Valberg Golf Club is a unique course in the Alpes-Maritimes region. Situated at the gateway to Mercantour National Park, this mountain course offers an experience rarely found in France: playing golf at high altitude amidst spectacular natural scenery, surrounded by Alpine peaks and 360-degree panoramas.
One of Valberg Golf Club’s greatest assets is its setting. From the course, players enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view of Mont Mounier, the Mercantour massif, and the surrounding Alpine landscape.
This high-mountain location creates a playing experience completely different from that of coastal courses: the air is cooler, the light is purer, and the surrounding silence is deeply soothing.
In summer, the golf course becomes a true oasis of coolness a welcome relief when temperatures soar on the Côte d’Azur.

⛰️ Mountain airstrip (Altisurface/Altiport): Available. The resort features the Valberg Altisurface, located right nearby (Route de La Colle). It has a grass mountain-style runway (runway 14/32) at an altitude of 1,756 meters, reserved for pilots with a "Mountain" rating or for microlights (ULMs).

🏨 Hotels: There are no hotels located within the golf complex itself. However, the Valberg resort offers hotels in the immediate vicinity.

🏊 Swimming pool & ♨️ Spa/wellness: Not available at the golf course. (Such facilities are available elsewhere in the Valberg resort, either municipally or privately operated.)

🏋️ Fitness & 🎾 Tennis/other sports: The clubhouse does not have an on-site gym or tennis courts.

🚗 Valet parking: Not available; self-parking only.

🐕 Pets: Pets are welcome on the restaurant terrace but are strictly prohibited on the golf course and practice areas.

The course alternates between alpine grass fairways, well-defined natural greens, high-altitude tees, significant elevation changes, wooded areas, and mountain meadows. Each hole offers a different configuration, making the game varied and strategic despite the overall short distance of the course.
