GOlf Masters of the Champions 2019, the 24th edition has just ended. Scheduled to last 3 days, the Masters is partly truncated by a weather timing that has come to disrupt the event created by Bernard BEGUIN, champion car. Indeed, Saint-Tropez has not escaped the torrential rains that manifested in the weekend.
The Saint-Tropez Golf Club
Friday, September 20th begins under a sun of autumn, the champions and the guests are waited for 11 am at the Golf Club of Saint-Tropez, to then lunch towards 13 pm and to continue for the 1st round of the golf tournament on a manicured course for the occasion.
Evening at the Port Authority of Saint-Tropez
The first day ends at the Port of St. Tropez Harbor Master’s Restaurant with a buffet and dance party hosted by a talented trio of a singer and two singers.
Rugby World Cup at Le Château de la Messardière
On Saturday morning, the east wind persists and signs with bursts of force 4 to 5 that make the approach competition to the Marines de Cogolin more delicate. the hole is installed 90m parallel to the sea.
However while waiting to go on site, the guests (housed at the Château de la Messardière) would like to watch the rugby match France / Argentina stalled in the lounge chairs provided for this purpose …
All the champions are trying to put the ball close to the mast, but as Bernard BEGUIN points out: “the wind raises the challenge!”
Nearest the pin on the beach…Wind force 5!

Lunch at the Marines of Cogolin

Pétanque… Place des Lices at Saint-Tropez
Despite the rain, little drizzle we say, it is 17:15, Bernard BEGUIN keeps the game of petanque in the Place des Lices of Saint-Tropez. Traditionally, for a party of balls on the Place des Lices, one must be dressed in white from head to toe! But the tradition has not been fully respected due to weather conditions…..
But, the rain is right for the game, the time to do a game and we must put the balls and caps in their cases to go to the restaurant, located three steps to finish the evening around the table.
